This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant permission and gave adequate police protection to the temple festival on 27.05.2019 at 09.00 a.m., Pongal Vaithal, Keda Vettuthal, Padugalam at Evening 05.00 p.m and Village Cultural Programs namely Sree Valli Thirumana Nadagam at 10.00 p.m and on 28.05.2019 at Morning Palkudam Eduthal, Agni Satti Eduthal, 05.00 p.m, Mavilakku Eduthal and at 10.00 p.m Sree Arichandra Nadagam to be conducted at the Sree Valampuri Vinayagar and Sree Nallamuthu Mariamman Temple festival in Nambampatti, Rajalipatti Post, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukkottai District based on the petitioner's representation dated 13.04.2019.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the Villagers have conducted cultural programme for the temple festival every year peacefully. As per the tradition and customs, this year also the Villagers have planned to conduct cultural programme from 27.05.2019 to 28.05.2019. In this regard, the petitioner gave a representation to the respondents on 13.04.2019. Since no action has been taken, the present writ petition has been filed. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that there are two rival groups in the said locality and there is an apprehension among the public that there may be a law and order problem in conducting the cultural programme.

5.Considering the objection raised by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and the fact that there is an apprehension of law and order problem, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
