ORDER
The petitioner is a resident of Melapatti, Mangottai Village, Pudukottai District. She belongs to backward community and is hailing from economically weaker section. She studied upto Higher Secondary Education and she is also registered with the Employment Exchange. She has applied for the post of Anganwadi worker, as per the Notification, vide G.O.Ms.No.31, Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department (SW-7(2)), dated 12.03.2025. The petitioner claims that as per the said G.O., she is having every qualification to be appointed as Anganwadi worker of Melapatti Village, however, she has not been considered. Therefore, she has filed this writ petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to appoint her as Anganwadi worker of Melapatti Village.

Mr.G.V.Vairam Santhosh, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that one Kalavathi, W/o.Devarajan, has already been selected and appointed as Anganwadi worker for Melapatti Village. He has also furnished a copy of the proceedings of the 3rd respondent dated 05.02.2026.
3. In view of this development, this writ petition is closed with a direction to the 3rd respondent to furnish a copy of the proceedings dated 05.02.2026 to the petitioner enabling her to workout her remedy in the manner known to law. No costs.
