ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents 4 and 5 to provide adequate police protection to conduct the petition mentioned event. When the matter was taken up for admission, the learned counsel on either side submitted that peace meeting is being convened. When the matter was taken up at 04.15 P.M, a copy of the minutes was also produced. The Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai convened the meeting. of the A party, Kasinathan and four others took part and on the side of the B party, Marimuthu and two others took part. It appears that Thiru.O.Rajendran, the petitioner herein affiliated to A party while Thiru.Veeraiah, the sixth respondent herein affiliated to B party.
2.I am happy to record that even though B party have stated that they will not take part in the Kumbhabisekam event, they undertake not to interfere with the conduct of Kumbhabisekam and other events. Since B party has made it clear that the Kumbhabisekam and other events can go on, the respondents 4 and 5 are directed to provide police protection for ensuring that the petition mentioned events are smoothly conducted. 3.The writ petition stands allowed.
