O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed for issuing a direction to the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.17 of 2016 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) appearing for the respondent.

3. Based on the complaint given by the petitioner, who is the de facto complainant, a case was registered in Crime No.17 of 2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 468, 471, 420 and 120 B of IPC.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the respondent Police has not chosen to expedite the investigation and to file a final report, even though the complaint was registered in the year 2016.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent on instructions submitted that the investigation is in process and the final report will be filed within a period of six months.

5. Recording the statement of the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), the Criminal Original petition is allowed with a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.17 of 2016, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
