O R D E R

The petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to file the final report in Crime No.2/2016 dated 10.05.2016 on the file of the respondent police within a stipulated period. 2.The petitioner is accused and a crime has been registered against the him for the offences under Sections 120(b), 167, 403, 409, 461,468, 471, 477-A and 420 IPC r/w.13(I)(c) & (d) r/w.13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, on 10.05.2016. Even though the crime was registered in the year 2016, sofar, the respondent police did not complete the investigation and file final report. In such circumstances, the present petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The learned Additional Public prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that there are more than 300 witnesses and now the investigation is in progress and the respondent police have to record statements from 175 witnesses.

4.In the above circumstances, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible and file final report, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
