This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to settle the pending amount, i.e., Rs.4,96,884/- with interest for the works done by the petitioner in the years 2012 and 2015 at Uthamapalayam Taluk, in Theni District, in the light of the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2026
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. The petitioner submitted representation to the respondents for disbursement of the amount for the work done by the petitioner during the year 2012 and 2015. However, since no action has been taken on the 2/5
said representation, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition.
4. Learned Government Advocate for the respondents, would submit that within a considerable period, the representation would be considered.
5. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
