PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the first respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry without due process of law. For Petitioner : Mr.D.Rameshkumar For R1 : Mr.K.Suyambulingabharathi, Government Advocate (Crl.Side)

ORDER

According to the petitioner, the petitioner has been harassed at the hands of the respondent police, based on the complaint given by the second respondent. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the aforesaid prayer.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent would submit that the case has been registered against the petitioner for the offences under Sections 498(A) and 506 (i) IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, in Crime No.13 of 2017. The copy of the First Information Report has also been placed before this Court.

3.In view of the above, nothing survives for further adjudication in this Criminal Original Petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, it is open to the petitioner to seek his remedy before the appropriate forum in the manner known to law.
