Government of Uttar Pradesh and Ors. reported in (2014) 2 SCC 1.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to take action on the petitioner's complaint dated 23.12.2023. 2.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3.According to the petitioner, she lodged a complaint before the 2nd respondent on 23.12.2023 for missing of her husband. However, the same has not been considered. Hence this petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that though the petitioner's husband was found missing in the year 1996 itself, the petitioner has lodged a complaint only in the year 2023. However, the respondent police will conduct enquiry and dispose of the complaint of the petitioner in accordance with law.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition, this Court hereby direct the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry and dispose of the petitioner's complaint, dated 23.12.2003 within a period of one week from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
