Thambidurai, Government Advocate, for R-2 & 3 Prayer: To issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 3 to 5 to ensure the participation of the petitioner, his side people and other nearby villagers without any discrimination to worship at the temple of Sri Vilavanathar Temple, situated at Survey No. 242/3B, Melakadaladi Village, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District during the forthcoming Maha Sivanrthiri festival will be held in the month of February-March, 2026 through the hereditary priest of that temple and to prevent interference by private respondents 6 to 14.
ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 3 to 5 to ensure the participation of the petitioner, his side people and other nearby villagers without any discrimination to worship at the temple of Sri Vilavanathar Temple, situated at Survey No. 242/3B, Melakadaladi Village, Kadaladi Taluk, 2/4
Ramanathapuram District during the forthcoming Maha Sivanrthiri festival will be held in the month of February-March, 2026 through the hereditary priest of that temple and to prevent interference by private respondents 6 to 14.
2. It is submitted that the temple festival has been completed. Due to the efflux of time, nothing survives for adjudication. Hence, this writ petition is closed. No costs. 17-02-2026 KSA To
