ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and to file the final report in Crime No.1142 of 2021.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the defacto complainant in this case and bases on his complaint, a case in Crime No.1142 of 2021 has been registered against the accused. A counter case is also registered as against the petitioner and the same is pending before the Special Court in Special S.C.No.51 of 2024 on the file of the Special Court for Trial Cases registered under SC/ST (POA) Act, Dindigul. The respondent police in the present case have not completed the investigation and failed to file charge sheet.

The Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that there is a case in counter case and already they have filed charge sheet in one case and the same was taken on file in Special S.C.No.51 of 2024 and the same is pending before Special Court for Trial Cases registered under SC/ST (POA) Act, Dindigul. The investigation in this case is going on and they will complete the investigation within one month.

4. Considering the nature of prayer and recording the above said submission of the learned Government Advocate, this Court directs the respondent to complete the investigation and file the final report within one month from the date of this order.

5. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
