ORDER

The present petition has been filed by the accused persons in C.C.No.17 of 2025 pending on the file of the learned Additional Mahila Court Judicial Magistrate, Sivagangai, seeking to quash the charge sheet, wherein they have been charged with offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 498(A), 506(2) of IPC r/w Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2022.

2. Pending trial, the parties have entered into a compromise, wherein the defacto complainant has agreed for quashing of the charge sheet.

3. Today, the defacto complainant is present in person before this Court and acknowledges the fact that the parties have entered into a compromise and also stated that the divorce was obtained by mutual consent.

4. Considering the above said facts, the C.C.No.17/2025 pending on the file of the learned Additional Mahila Court Judicial Magistrate, 2/4

Sivagangai, is hereby quashed and the Criminal Original Petition is allowed. The joint compromise memo dated 16.03.2026 shall form part and parcel of this order.
