Since the petitioner is a resident of K.Puthur, Madurai, the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) submitted that the representation of the petitioner seeking police protection cannot be considered by the second respondent, as the place of residence of the petitioner does not come within the jurisdiction of the second respondent.

2. Hence, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this Criminal Original petition with liberty to file a fresh petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.
