Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide the provident fund amount of Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs only) to the petitioner immediately for his daughter's marriage expenses within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court, as per the representation of the petitioner dated 11.04.2019.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to provide the provident fund amount of Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs only) to the petitioner for his daughter's marriage expenses, by considering his representation dated 11.04.2019, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Mr. P. Balasubramanian, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent.

3. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the stage of admission itself.

4. The petitioner, who is working as a Gardener in the second respondent Corporation, has sent a representation dated 11.04.2019 to the first respondent praying to sanction a sum of Rs.3,00,000/- https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

from his Provident Fund account, for the expenses of his daughter's marriage. As the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition.

5. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side.

Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.04.2019, and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
