O R D E R

This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents, directing the sixth respondent to give adequate police protection to the celebration of the Kumbabishekam Festival to Arulmigu Kanaikarai Karuppasamy Thirukkovil in Mandalamanickam Village to be held as per the order 2/6

dated 17.02.2023 in e/f/m 2/1637//2023 passed by the second respondent.

2. Mr.B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents 1 to 6. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that a Peace Committee Meeting will be arranged for making settlement to conduct smooth celebration of Kumbabishekam.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that for the past two months, the above said temple was locked by the Revenue Authorities.

5. The learned counsel for the private respondent has raised the serious objection stating that some of the ideals were buried, to that effect, this Court directed the respondent police to file a report. As per 3/6

the direction of this Court, the respondents police filed a report, wherein it has been stated that all the ideals are available in the temple.

6. The Tahsildar, Kamuthi, is directed to fix a date for conducting a Peace Committee Meeting and intimate the same to the parties. The parties are directed to participate the Peace Committee Meeting to be arranged by the Tahsildar, Kamuthi Taluk.

7. Depending upon the out come of the resolution to be adopted in the Peace Committee Meeting, the petitioner workout his remedy through appropriate proceedings. The entire process will be completed within a period of one week from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
