Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to restore the customary practice and select Gurukkal to carry on the deity Koppudaiyanayagi Amman in Pallakku around the Temple during the Chevvai Perunthiruvizha festival scheduled to be held from 14.05.2019 to 23.05.2019 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 13.05.2019.
