ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking to quash the file closure letter dated 14.03.2024 issued by the 1st respondent, wherein the request of the petitioner for issuance of Passport was kept in abeyance.

A perusal of the impugned intimation letter indicates that since the petitioner was holding double passport, the issue was referred to the police and the request of the petitioner for issuance of Passport was kept in abeyance. The learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent submits that no criminal case is pending against him. In the Adalat conducted in November 2025, it has been decided to restore the Passport facilities to the writ petitioner. However, due to efflux of time, the application has been closed.

3. In view of the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to make a fresh application for issuance of passport. In case if any such application is filed by the petitioner, the same shall be considered, within a period of four weeks.
