Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondent.
2. The petitioner is running a Pharmacy college. They want to increase the annual intake from 60 to 100. The petitioner is having provisional affiliation. In this regard, the institution sent a request to the respondent and the same was received on 12.03.2019. It is stated by the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondent that the petitioner did not enclose the approval issued by the P.C.I. and A.I.C.T.E. New Delhi. But then, it is fairly admitted that the same was received on 24.04.2019 and 13.05.2019. In view of this petition, the respondent is in process of appointing an inspection Committee to verify the infrastructural, teaching and other facilities. This stand taken by the respondent is placed on record.
3. The respondent is directed to conduct the inspection as expeditiously as possible. The respondent will also take a decision with regard to according permission to enhance the intake to 100 students for the current academic year 2019-20, immediately after https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the inspection process is over. It is needless to mention that the decision of the respondent University will be on its own merits.
4. This Writ petition stands disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
