This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.05.2019 for granting permission and police protection for cultural and dance program on 22.05.2019 by 9.00 p.m at Kovil Thidal of Arulmigu Sri Mandu Pidariamman Temple, West Street, Old Batlagundu, Dindigul District.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the Villagers have conducted cultural programme for the temple festival every year peacefully. As per the tradition and customs, this year also the Villagers have planned to conduct cultural programme on 22.05.2019. In this regard, the petitioner gave a representation to the respondents on 15.05.2019. Since no action has been taken, the present writ petition has been filed.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that granting permission to conduct cultural programme will lead to communal clash. She would further submit that there are four FIRs are pending. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side), this writ petition is dismissed.
