This criminal original petition has been filed for quashing the impugned FIR in Crime No.204 of 2019 registered on the file of the first respondent for the offences under Sections 294(b) and 506(i) of I.P.C. and Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

2.The petitioner's counsel raised very many grounds in respect of the prayer for quashing. I am of the view that the petitioner will have to necessarily wait for the outcome of the investigation. It is quite possible that the first respondent may close the case if the defence of the petitioner are acceptable. The grounds projected in the criminal original petition are not sufficient for invoking the inherent powers of this Court under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. I leave open the petitioner's contentions and defences.
