The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.07.2025 for cancellation of the legal heir certificate dated 09.11.2012 issued by the third respondent.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that the third respondent had issued a legal heir certificate on 04.04.2012 in respect of the death of the petitioner's paternal uncle. Challenging the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the second respondent on 16.12.2009. Though an enquiry was initiated, the same has not been concluded till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed. 2/4

Considering the above facts, the second respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the fourth respondent. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above observations and directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
