O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first to third respondents to cancel the separate patta in Patta No.2875 and to issue a joint patta including the names of the petitioner and his sister in respect of S.No.85/6F1B, Nammanpatti Village, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukkottai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.12.2025, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself, dispensing with the notice to the fourth respondent, as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed against him.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the total extent of the property in S.No.85/6F1 is 1.39.0 hectares and the same is an ancestral Page No. 2 of 5

property. Out of the said extent, 79 cents was gifted to the petitioner's father and the remaining extent continues to be ancestral and undivided. On 07.05.2024, S.No.85/6F1 was subdivided into S.Nos.85/6F1A and 85/6F1B measuring about 32.50 ares and the fourth respondent has illegally obtained a separate patta in his individual name. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 05.12.2025 to the first to third respondents seeking cancellation of the separate patta and issuance of a joint patta including the names of the petitioner and his sister. However, the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first to third respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 05.12.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the second respondent within a period of sixteen weeks.

5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's Page No. 3 of 5

representation dated 05.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the fourth respondent and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order.
