ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 14.01.2026 pertaining to mutation of petitioner's name in Patta No.4 Revenue Records in Ward B, Block No.2, Vellar Street, Kadambur Kovil, Vaiganallur North Village, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District and to dispose the same within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the subject property after the demise of her husband. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 14.01.2026 before the respondent seeking mutation of patta. However, despite the lapse of considerable time, no action has been taken on the petitioner's representation. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.01.2026, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
