ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Crime No.51 of 2016 from the file of the second respondent police to the file of the third respondent. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) submitted that the respondent police completed the investigation in Crime No.51 of 2016 and laid the charge sheet before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur on 19.02.2021 itself.

3.In view of the above, the prayer sought for in the petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a protest petition before the concerned jurisdictional Magistrate in the manner known to law, if he is so advised.
