construction and remove the construction of the bus stand at Penniyamman Kovil Street, Nachiyarkovil Village, KumbakonamTaluk, Thanjavur District, which is already made in front of the petitioner's tea shop which is opposite to Periyar statue based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.02.2026 and pass such other or further orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of this case and thus render justice. The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing respondents 2 to 4 not to proceed with or continue the construction of the bus stand and to remove the construction already put up in front of the petitioner's tea shop situated at Penniyamman Kovil Street, Nachiyarkovil Village, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District, opposite to the Periyar Statue, based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.02.2026.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that respondents 3 and 4 are attempting to put up a bus shelter in front of the petitioner's tea shop. According to him, the proposed bus shelter would affect 2/5
the frontage of the shop and obstruct the ingress and egress, thereby causing serious inconvenience to the petitioner and his customers.

Per contra, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 3 and 4 submitted that the bus shelter is proposed to be constructed in Survey No.243/2, which is classified as Government Natham and road margin. He further submitted that the bus shelter will be constructed only adjacent to the petitioner's tea shop and that the 10 feet frontage of the petitioner's shop will not be disturbed in any manner. The said submission is recorded.
4. In view of the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents not to disturb the 10 feet frontage of the petitioner's tea shop while putting up the bus shelter.
