O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Nos.1 to 4 to receive Thalakkattu Vari from the petitioner and ensure the participation of the petitioner and petitioner's supporters in the temple festival to be conducted on
24.05.2019 and 25.05.2019 in Sri Madurai Veeran and Sri Pogai Kannimar temples situated in Maniyakkaranpatti Village, Vedasanthur Taluk, Dindigul District based on his representation dated 17.05.2019.
2. Heard Mr.T.Vadivelan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents RR 1 to 4.
3. Having regard to the fact that the matter involves disputed questions of fact, this Court may not be in a position to entertain this writ petition. However, the grievances of the petitioner as on date is that the petitioner and his group may be permitted to enter into the Temple in view of the dispute. It is further stated that the organizers of the Festival in the Temple have refused to receive the Thalakkattu Vari from the petitioner and his group.
4. This Court on hearing the arguments made by the learned counsel for the respondents and on perusing the documents placed before this Court is inclined to direct the fourth respondent to provide police protection to ensure that the petitioner and his supporters enter the Temple to worship the God during the festival. This order is without prejudice to anyone's right as the respondent no.5 is not heard.
5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.(MD) No.9228 of 2019 is closed.
