ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to rectify the mistakes in the revenue records, particularly, in the FMB, Patta, Adangal and other connected revenue documents, in respect of the petitioner's property comprised in Sy.No.381, measuring an extent of 2.76 Acres, situated at Thennilai Keezhpagam Village, Pugalur Taluk, Karur District, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 01.01.2026 (taken on file in Oo.Mu.A4/81/2026) and 09.02.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the subject property is ancestral in nature and that the petitioner is in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the same. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that due to inadvertent and apparent errors in the revenue records, the details relating to the petitioner's property have been incorrectly recorded, causing serious prejudice and hardship to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner had submitted detailed representations dated 01.01.2026 (taken on file in Oo.Mu.A4/81/2026) and 09.02.2026 before the competent authorities requesting rectification of the mistakes. However, till date, no effective action has been taken. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representations will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the

respondents 3 and 4 to consider the petitioner's representations dated 01.01.2026 and 09.02.2026, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
