JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner filed the writ petition seeking a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to transfer the proceedings initiated by the 3rd respondent to any other officer.

2. The learned Judge dismissed the writ petition, against which, the present appeal.

3. The learned counsel for the appellant submitted that though various contentions have been raised, the time for conclusion of the proceedings may be extended beyond 30.03.2021 as ordered in review petition No.51/2020 and contempt petition No. 895/2020.

4. As rightly submitted by the learned counsel for the respondents, it is a consent order. The reason for extension is that the petitioner wants to take part in the election. We are of the view, that cannot be a ground for extending the time, especially when the order was passed by consent. Even otherwise, the election would be over on or before 06.04.2021. Thus, looking from any perspective, we are not inclined to entertain this writ appeal. Accordingly, this writ appeal is dismissed. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
