ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents for further investigation of case in Cr.No.450 of 2017 on the file of the 2nd respondent.

2.The petitioner states that his brother, by name, Victor died on 13.07.2017 under suspicious circumstances. Though the case was registered in Cr.No.450 of 2017 under Section 174 of Cr.P.C., it is stated that there was no progress in the investigation done by the second respondent. It is also stated that since several external injuries were found on the body of the petitioner's brother, the cause of the death was not properly enquired into and the viscera report sent for chemical analysis had not been received.

https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that upon receipt of the viscera report, the respondent

police registered the case under Section 302 IPC. It is further stated that the first accused is also arrested on 12.10.2017. Though the other accused is absconding, the matter is being enquired into and the final report is likely to be filed within a period of six months.

4.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the second respondent is directed to file a final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
