O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed for a direction to the respondent not to harass the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners states that the first petitioner's husband, namely, one Jose Ananth Singh was of-course an accused in a murder case. It is further stated that the husband of the first petitioner is a practising Advocate in Madras High Court and that his whereabouts are not known since the case was registered against him. Since the respondent under the guise of enquiry is harassing the petitioners, the learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners are constrained to file this petition.

4. Since the first petitioner's husband is involved in the murder case, the enquiry as such can not be dispensed with. However, in case, the petitioners' presence or appearance is required for any enquiry, the same can be done only after issuing summons prescribing date and time and in the manner prescribed in law. 5. With the above observation, the Criminal Original petition is closed.
