[Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

2.Mr.S.P.Maharajan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.

3.According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 22.01.2024 to the respondent, seeking permission to conduct Vadamadu Event in Muthapudaiyanpatti, Manapparai on 18.02.2024. However, the same having been considered, is rejected by the respondent vide proceedings dated 16.02.2024 on the ground that so far the Government has not issued any Government Order to conduct Vadamadu Event and on the date on which the petitioner sought for permission, ie., on 18.02.2024, vide G.O.(Ms)No.103, dated 12.02.2024, the Government has granted permission to conduct Jallikattu event in Sevalur Village. The said rejection order of the respondent is under challenge in this Writ Petition.

4.We have perused the impugned rejection order passed by the respondent and while accepting the reasons given in the impugned rejection order, we are of the view that the petitioner is not entitled to conduct Vadamadu event in Muthapudaiyanpatti Village, since notification has not been issued by the Government as per the Act. Therefore, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. However, it is open to the petitioner to make necessary application before the Government through the respondent / District Collector, Trichy District, seeking permission to conduct Vadamadu event in Muthapudaiyanpatti Village.
