Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner is presently working as Senior Revenue Inspector in Taluk Office, Karaikudi. She seeks notional promotion as Deputy Tahsildar with effect from the date when her juniors were promoted. The petitioner gave a representation dated 22.05.2019.

3.The respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22.05.2019 for promotion on bar with her juniors within 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the said representation. It is open to the respondent to pass orders one way or the other.

4.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
