O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner wants to purchase the petition mentioned lands. It appears that the said lands are the subject matter of land acquisition proceedings. The registering authority therefore called upon the petitioner to obtain NOC from the competent authority. If the petitioner is unable to obtain NOC within one week, the refusal check slip will be issued. The petitioner has not questioned the said communication dated 13.02.2023. The petitioner only wants sufficient time for obtaining NOC.

3. No exception can be taken to the said request. The registering authority are directed to keep the matter on hold 2/4

3 W.P.(MD)NO.3923 OF 2023 and in abeyance. The petitioner is given two more months time from today. If the petitioner is unable to obtain NOC from the competent authority in the meanwhile, it is open to the registering authority to issue refusal check slip.

4. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
