This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first to fourth respondents to conduct survey and Page No. 2 of 6
demarcation of the subject property by considering the petitioner's applications dated 07.05.2025 and 11.02.2026 within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.
2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that an online application has been submitted for the survey of the property in question and for demarcation of its boundaries.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first to fourth respondents, on instructions, would submit that after consideration of the claims of the parties, proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in question in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.
5. Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the third and fourth respondents to consider the online application of the petitioner dated 11.02.2026, survey and demarcate the petitioner's land after Page No. 3 of 6
consideration of the claims of all parties including the private respondents and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to pursue their remedies before the Civil Court. It is needless to state that before surveying the land, notice shall be issued to the adjacent landowners, the private respondents and other interested parties.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
