Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to conclude the appeal preferred by the petitioner on the file of the first respondent, dated 09.11.2020, under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983, within the time that may be stipulated by this Court. ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction against the first respondent to conclude an appeal, which is said to have been pending from November 2020 and that appeal has been preferred by the petitioner under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983.

2.Mr.S.Shanmugavel, learned Additional Government Pleader, who appears on behalf of the first and second respondents and on instructions stated that the first respondent would take every endeavour to dispose of the appeal within a reasonable period of time.

3.A Mandamus is issued to the first respondent to examine the records and proceed further in manner known to law and dispose of the said appeal on or before 31.03.2022.
