ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to quash the charge memo No.

11624/Esst(DP)/A2/2018 dated 23.05.2019 issued by the respondent herein and the consequential enquiry proceeding Proc.No.11624/Estt. (DP)/A2/2018 dated 06.01.2021 and to direct the respondent to pass regular retirement order and release all the terminal benefits. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that during the pendency of the writ petition, it is learnt that the entire disciplinary proceeding has been completed and final orders are yet to be passed. He further submitted that the said charges were based on a FIR which was registered against the petitioner and the said FIR culminated into a criminal case in C.C.No. 1627 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Thoothukudi and the petitioner was acquitted from the charges by an order dated 03.01.2024.

3.In view of the above, this Court hereby direct the respondents to pass final orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
