ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to forthwith return petitioner's driving license within a time frame. 2.Heard Mr.A.Rahul, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.R.Shanmuganathan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that due to an accident, the license of the petitioner was seized by the second respondent and was handed over to the first respondent. It is stated that the second respondent has not returned the driving license and since the driving license is not with the petitioner, he was not assigned with any duty.

4.On the side of the respondents, it is stated that the second respondent handed over the driving license to the first respondent to take action agianst the petitioner under Section 19 of the Motor Vehicles Act. But so far no action was initiated by the first respondent. It is further stated that the respondents are ready to return back the driving license to the petitioner. 5.Hence, this Court deems it fit to direct the first respondent to hand over the driving license to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is allowed. No Costs.
