ORDER
Seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to afford sufficient police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members against the respondents 3 to 6 and their men, this petition is filed.

Since no adverse order is proposed to be passed against the respondents 3 to 6, notice to them is dispensed with. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the respondents 3 to 6 are interfering with the peaceful possession and enjoyment of the petitioner's property in old S.No.263/P and new S.No.537/8, measuring an extent of 0.00.60 square meters situated at Muthalapuram Natham settlement, Ethilode Village, Dindigul District. The petitioner is the absolute owner in possession of the property by virtue of a registered sale deed bearing Document No. 2102 of 2025, dated 11.04.2025. However, respondents 3 to 6 are unnecessarily interfering with his peaceful possession and enjoyment of the same; hence, this petition.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner and the fourth respondent are adjacent landowners of agricultural lands. Earlier, the petitioner had given a complaint against the fourth respondent, and the second respondent police has issued C.S.R. No. 20 of 2026. Thereafter, the fourth respondent gave a complaint against the petitioner, based on which the respondent police conducted an enquiry. During the enquiry, both parties appeared before the respondent police and gave an undertaking that they would approach the appropriate civil court. Thereafter, the respondent police closed the complaints.
5. Heard the learned counsels on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.
6. Under such circumstances, the petitioner requires that a fence be put up around the agricultural land and it is only for that purpose that police protection is sought by way of this petition. Hence, the second respondent police is directed to afford necessary police protection for the purpose of putting up a fence in the said agricultural land, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the respondents 3 to 6. The petitioner is directed to produce all necessary documents relating to title, and if the title is 3/6
found to be in order, the second respondent police shall afford appropriate police protection to enable the petitioner to put up the fence, on payment of the requisite charges in terms of the G.O(Ms)No.139, Home (Pol~VIII) Department, dated 04.03.2019.
7. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
