JUDGMENT

The appellant is an accused in Crime No.4 of 2025 on the file of the respondent Police, for the offence under Section 108 of BNS r/w. Section 3(1)(r) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015. He moved a bail petition before the learned I Additional District and Sessions Judge (PCR), Thanjavur and the same was rejected by order dated 13.02.2025. Challenging the same, the appellant has filed this Criminal Appeal.

2. Today, when this matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submits that the investigation is in crucial state.

3. Since the investigation is in crucial stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the appellant/accused at this stage. Therefore, this Criminal Appeal is dismissed. The respondent Police is directed to find out the role 2/4

played by the appellant in the commission of offence. The appellant is permitted to renew his application before the trial Court after one month. 10.03.2025 ogy NCC : Yes / No.
