O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents.

2. Issuance of notice to the fourth respondent is dispensed with.

3. The petitioner is a resident of Paduvanendhal Village. It is seen that from "A" Register extract during UDR, survey No.134/4 was classified as water body(kanmoi). However, during UDR the name of the private individual was incorporated.

4. If such correction made during UDR can be set right only by the District Revenue Officer, the petitioner has to move the District Revenue Officer. The petitioner is at liberty to file such representation. If such representation is filed within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, it will be disposed of on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months thereafter. The District Revenue Officer will have to necessarily put all the encroachers on notice before passing final order. We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter. We have only recorded our finding that before UDR, the said survey number was classified as water body. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
