ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the fifth respondent to give adequate police protection to measure the petitioner's lands in S.F.No.283/3 and 5 cents in S.F.No.283/5B of Peravoorni-II Pit, Thanjavur District, based on the proceedings of the second respondent in Na.Ka.4374/2021/U2, dated 05.01.2022. 2.The petitioner gave an application before the first respondent with requisite fees to measure the petition mentioned lands. W.P(MD).No.4403 of 2022 engaged the third respondent to survey his land. Accordingly, the third and fourth respondents came to the subject land on 18.11.2021 to measure the property and lay boundary stone. Since the adjacent land owner obstructing the third and fourth respondents from surveying the land, the second respondent requested the fifth respondent to provide police protection by communication dated 05.01.2022. On receipt of the same, without taking any action, the fifth respondent kept the request pending. 3.Considering the above, the fifth respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection to survey the petitioner's land as requested by the second respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. It is also made clear that the third respondent is directed to survey the land after giving notice to the adjacent land owners. 4.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
