Respondent Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to register / File Form - VII submitted by the petitioner's Society on 07.02.2024 under Rule-17(2) of the Tamil Nadu Society Registration Rules, 1978 in regard to the change effected in the Constitution of Executive Committee and Members of the General Body of the petitioner's Society vide resolution dated 07.01.2024.

ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. The prayer in the writ petition is for taking Form VII filed by the petitioner on 07.02.2024 on file.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that there is a rival claimant and to the effect, one Siva Raman was elected and the petitioner was removed from the membership.

4. The respondent is directed to issue notice to the said Siva Raman and other interested persons if any. Enquiry shall be conducted and decision shall be taken whether to take Form VII on file or not. The decision of the respondent will be communicated in writing to the petitioner. This shall be done within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter.
