O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to afford sufficient police protection to worship the deity in the Kadavu Kaatha Iyyanar temple from within the compound wall in front of Sannadhi and to offer the Archanai materials, during the forthcoming Masi Kanimatru Vizha (Banana Festival) and on all subsequent pooja days.

2.According to the petitioner, the third respondent has restrained her and her community people from entering into the temple because of their community. The festival is scheduled between 26.02.2025 and 2/5

28.02.2025. The main festival is Masi Kanimatru Vizha, which is scheduled to be held on 28.02.2025. Therefore, this petition has been filed.

3.The learned Counsel for the third respondent would submit that the private respondent has never restrained the petitioner and her community people from entering into the said temple and without any ground, the petitioner has filed this petition. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that there is no complaint received by the respondent police in respect of this issue. However, if any restrictions made by the third respondent to enter into the temple, the respondent police will take appropriate action. 5.Recording the submission made on behalf of the third respondent that the third respondent never restrained the petitioner or her community people from entering into the said temple and the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that if any restriction made by the third respondent to enter into the temple, the respondent police 3/5
