ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for speedy trial of the case in C.C.No.5 of 2019 pending on the file of the learned Judge, Special Court under TNPID (In Fes) Act, Madurai.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that three accused persons in this case filed quash petitions which are pending before this Court and that there are totally 259 witnesses to be examined in this case.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

4. Without going into the merits of this case, the learned Judge, Special Court under TNPID (In Fes) Act, Madurai, is directed to dispose of the case in C.C.No.5 of 2019 as expeditiously as possible, not more than two years, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
