O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to permit the petitioner to conduct "Adal Padal" cultural program in Ayyalamman Temple, Inam Samayapuram Village, Mannachanallur Taluk, Trichy District on 06.06.2018 from 07.00 p.m., onwards and to provide adequate police protection. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in the festival of the "Ayyalamman Temple" is scheduled to be held on 06.06.2018. The petitioner and the village peoples have decided to conduct "Adal Padal" cultural program in connection with the said temple at Inam Samayapuram Village, Mannachanallur Taluk, Trichy District and therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation, dated 02.04.2018, to the respondent, requesting them to grant permission therefor. Since no order has been passed on the said representation, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition, for the above mentioned relief.

4.At this stage, this Court without expressing any opinion on merits, direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.04.2018 and pass orders on merit and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall produce a copy of the representation dated 02.04.2018 before the respondent along with a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
