ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.05.2019.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

3. The petitioner has made a representation on 26.05.2019 to the respondent District Collector to release the land, which was sought to be acquired by the respondent long back, ie., in the year 2006 and the said land, according to the petitioner, was not necessitated or required for public purpose, for which, it was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

intended to be acquired. In this regard, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, if the representation of the petitioner is directed to be considered and an order to that effect is passed, the petitioner would be satisfied.

4. The learned Government Advocate would submit that, the said request of the petitioner dated 26.05.2019 would be considered by the second respondent and an order to that effect would be passed in a time frame on merits.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of with the following direction:

"That the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.05.2019 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." No costs.
