ORDER

This Petition has been filed to modify the condition No.7(i) imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P(MD). No.2346 of 2024, dated 06.02.2025.

2. Mr.S. Manoj Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that since the petitioner is fisherman and residing in rental he is not able to execute the surety for a sum of Rs.25,000/- and seeks modification of the condition No.7(i) imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P(MD). No.2346 of 2024, dated 06.02.2025. 1/3

3. Heard Mr.S.S.Manoj, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent-Police.

4. Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the petition, this Court is inclined to modify the condition imposed on the petitioner in the said Petition.

5. Accordingly, the condition No.7(i) imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P(MD). No.2346 of 2024, dated 06.02.2025 is modified to the effect that "the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) along with two sureties each for a like sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) to the satisfaction of the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge / Presiding Officer, Special Court for EC and NDPS Act Cases, Pudukkottai. The other conditions shall hold good. In view of the modification of the said condition, the time for executing the surety is extended for a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. To that extent, this petition is allowed.
