Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 06.06.2019 at night 09.00 p.m., to 12.00 a.m., in connection with "Vaikasi Festival" in Arulmighu Sri Azhiyamozhiamman Kovil at Kattumavadi Village, Manamelkudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 17.05.2019. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event, namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 06.06.2019 at night 09.00 p.m., to 12.00 a.m., in connection with "Vaikasi Festival" in Arulmighu Sri Azhiyamozhiamman Kovil at Kattumavadi Village, Manamelkudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 17.05.2019.

2. Heard both sides.

The grievance of the petitioner is that seeking permission and police protection to conduct the cultural event on 06.06.2019 in connection with "Vaikasi Festival" in Arulmighu Sri Azhiyamozhiamman Kovil at Kattumavadi Village, Manamelkudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, the petitioner has given a representation on 17.05.2019 to the second respondent and the said representation was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.05.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
