O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the 1st Respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.47 of 2014 on the file of the Kotticode Police Station and to file a final report

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that initially a case in Crime No.47 of 2014 was registered under Section 174 Cr.P.C. and later, it was altered into one under Section 306 IPC and at the time of getting opinion from the Public Prosecutor, some more graver offences appear to have come to light and therefore, Police are seeking further time to complete the investigation and file a final report.

3. This Court perused the Case Diary and found that the investigation is going on in the right line and an outer limit should not be fixed for completing the investigation in a case of such graver nature, wherein the deceased is said to have died of burns.

4. Under such circumstances, this Court directs the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent police to expeditiously conduct the investigation in Crime No.47 of 2014 and take action in accordance with law.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
