Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant police protection to conduct temple festival dated 06.06.2019 to 08.06.2019 for Arulmigu Sivasudalaimadasamy Tirukoil situated in Pottalvilai, Kanyakumari District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.05.2019.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant police protection to conduct the temple festival from 06.06.2019 to 08.06.2019 for Arulmigu Sivasudalaimadasamy Tirukoil situated in Pottalvilai, Kanyakumari District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.05.2019.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the Temple Committee proposed to conduct the festival in the above said temple from 06.06.2019 to 08.06.2019, for which, the petitioner, being the Administrator of the said Temple, made a representation on 24.05.2019 to the second respondent seeking police protection. The said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.05.2019 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, forthwith.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
