Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to dispose the appeal preferred by the second respondent dated 18.01.2017 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
The limited prayer sought for is for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the second respondent's appeal dated 18.01.2017.
2. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the first respondent submitted that in view of the pendency of many appeals, considerable time could be taken to dispose of the same and that the appeals are being taken up for consideration as per seniority. As such, in my view, the time limit of twelve weeks could be reasonable for the first respondent to consider the second respondent's appeal.
3. In the result, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the second respondent's appeal dated 18.01.2017, on its own merits and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order, after giving opportunity to the petitioner as well as the second respondent.

4. With the above observation, this writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
